National Feed Engineering Technology Research Center (NFERC), the only state-level engineering technology research center in China's feed industry, has been founded in June 2000 with the approval by the Ministry of Science and Technology and based on China Agricultural University (CAU) and China Academiy of Agricultural Scineces (CAAS).

NFERC is focusing on the integration of manufactory, education and research which provides the feed industry with a unique platfrom for technology development, transfer and extention and achievement transformation.

During the past few years, NFERC has obtained fruitful achievement in introducing high-technology and transformation which has created direct economic profit of around 15.3 million RMB and social economic profit of more than 2.3 billion RMB. NFERC has played an important role in enhancing China's feed and breeding industry.
